ASI LA VIDA
This
is Bandidos de Amor's much anticipated second
CD release. Their first CD introduced the listener
to their unique approach to blending European
Gypsy and South American Rumba into a uniquely
Southern California acoustic dance music with
a strong up tempo festive beat. This CD further
explores and develops that approach with the addition
of more variety in tempos and some newer influences,
including Afro/Cuban, Argentinean, Surf and Latin
Balada styles. The moods have more variety and
depth. This CD will touch your heart and seduce
your senses.

CALIFORNIA RUMBA
The
Bandidos de Amor's debut CD combines the performing
talents of Josh, Marcelo, Yussi, Larry G. and
several other talented players exploring a new
approach to Latin music. It incorporates many
elements of world music including Gypsy, Flamenco,
Middle Eastern, Central and South American, and
even a little Reggae. What's amazing is that they
have melted all these influences into their own
unique sound and style - developed through their
many live performances prior to recording - that
they call California Rumba. They present this
in an aggressive manner that gives the listener
an uplifting experience. The beat that inspires
you to get up and dance. This is a very fine collection
of acoustic songs played with an intensity that
is hard to resist.

EL PIRATA
This
is Yussi's first solo release! In this release,
Yussi plays an exotic and energetic style of instrumental
guitar music that is spiced with fiery improvisations
in the tradition of Eastern European Gypsy, Spanish
flamenco and American jazz players. His original
compositions blend Spanish and Middle Eastern
guitar melodies with powerful Latin and Persian
rhythms. His music has sweetness, soul, precision,
and youthful energy. He is accompanied on bass
by the versatile Larry G. Goldman (a co-member
of Bandidos de Amor) and noted producer and arranger.
On the drum set and percussion is Martin Flores
who also performs with the Bandidos de Amor. Various
other guests appear on this wonderful CD and help
to give it very unique flavor. This is a welcome
addition to anyone's collection.

Yussi & Django
This
CD, from the Yussi & Django Band, is part
of the original roots of the Bandidos de Amor
band of today. Prior to the formal origin of the
Bandidos de Amor, there was the instrumental band
led by these two young men who perform an exotic
and energetic style of instrumental music that
is spiced with fiery improvisation in the tradition
of Eastern European Gypsy, Spanish flamenco and
American jazz players. Their exciting, virtuostic
playing is captured on this CD, accompanied by
Larry G. Goldman on bass guitars and some of Los
Angeles' finest young musicians in various roles.
Their original compositions blend Spanish and
Middle Eastern guitar melodies with powerful Latin
and Persian rhythms, and the result is an intriguing
and playful sound.
